시카고한국교육원에서는 대한민국 정부기관에서 지원하는 장학프로그램의 원서를 접수받고 있습니다. 미중서부(IL, IN, WI, MI, MN, KY, KS, IA, OH, MO, NE, SD, ND)의 학교에 재학중인 학생의 경우, 아래 프로그램에 대한 신청서를 시카고한국교육원을 통하여 신청하실 수 있습니다.

재미한인장학기금 (KHS: Korean Honor Scholarship)
The Scholarship was first established in 1981 with the gift fund of one million US dollars donated by the government of the Republic of Korea to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic relations between Korea and the USA.
The scholarship is awarded to encourage outstanding students who have Korean heritage to achieve their highest academic performance and develop leadership qualities for their future professional careers in the global society.
- Application period: April 21 ~ June 20, 2025 ( Arrival by June 20)
- First round evaluation at regional consular offices: June 23 ~ July 2, 2025
- Final round evaluation by Central Selection Committee: July 24
- Scholarship Award presentation: After September 30
The amount of scholarships is as follows:
- Best Honor Scholarship: $ 5,000
- Excellent Honor Scholarship - $ 3,000
- Honor Scholarship: $1,500
* Applications also must be submitted to the regional consular office CLOSEST TO his or her HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
* Applications for the scholarship in Arts, Adoptee and Special must be directly submitted to the Office of Education Minister Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Washington, D.C.

(OKFriends Homecoming Teens/Youth Camp)
The Overseas Korean Agency invites overseas Korean teens and young adults to visit their proud homeland of Korea.
The OKFriends Homecoming Teens & Youth Camp offers the chance to experience Korea’s history, culture, society, and economy. We encourage many to take part in this program, where participants can strengthen their Korean identity and pride.
1. Overview
A. Purpose
○ Invite next-generation overseas Koreans to Korea and provide hands-on
experiences in history, culture, society, and the economy to foster a stronger sense of Korean identity and pride
○ Strengthen the bonds among next-generation overseas Koreans and between them and domestic Korean youth, contributing to future-oriented mutual development
○ Support the growth of overseas Koreans into global leaders with a strong sense of Korean identity
B. Eligibility
○ Teens Camp Overseas Korean teens aged 15 to 18
○ Youth Camp Overseas Korean teens aged 18 to 25
