The Overseas Korean Agency invites overseas Korean teens and young adults to visit their proud homeland of Korea.

The 2026 OKFriends Homecoming Teens & Youth Camp offers the chance to experience

Korea’s history, culture, society, and economy. We encourage many to take part in this

program, where participants can strengthen their Korean identity and pride.

1. Overview

A. Purpose

To invite next generation overseas Koreans to Korea and provide opportunities to experience Korean history, culture, society, and economy, thereby fostering their Korean identity and contributing to mutual exchange and future-oriented development

B. Period and Number of Participants

○ Teens Camp: Overseas Korean teenagers aged 15 to 18 (as of Jun. 22, 2026)

○ Youth Camp: Overseas Korean young adults aged 18 to 25 (as of Jul. 14, 2026)

D. Location

○ Seoul metropolitan area (3 nights) and other regions (3 nights)

E. Main Programs

○ Opening and closing ceremonies, hands on experiences in Korean history, culture, society, and economy, programs to strengthen overseas Koreans' identity (lectures, activities, performances), team building and recreation programs, etc. (* Refer to main program (draft) for details.)

○ From the date of announcement until Apr. 20, 2026 (Mon)

* Application deadline: 11:59 PM, Mon, Apr. 20, 2026(KST)

B. Eligibility & Preferred Applicants

○ Qualifications

-Age Requirements

· Teens Camp (1st to 6th Session): Overseas Korean teenagers aged 15 to 18 (as of Jun. 22, 2026)

· Youth Camp (1st to 3rd Session): Overseas Korean young adults aged 18 to 25 (as of Jul. 14, 2026)

* Those aged 18 may apply for either the Teens Camp or Youth Camp (but not both).

-Residency Requirement: Overseas Korean who have legally resided abroad for five years or more

· Overseas Koreans with foreign nationality, permanent residency, Korean nationals, adoptees, children of adoptees, and children from multicultural families

· Must be in good physical and mental health, and able to fully participate in the program

ㅇ 차세대 재외동포를 한국으로 초청하여 한국의 역사·문화·사회·경제 등 다양한 분야를 체험할 기회를 제공함으로써, 한인의 정체성 함양 및 모국 간의 상호 발전에 기여

ㅇ 청소년 연수: 만 15세~18세 재외동포 청소년(26. 6. 22. 기준)

ㅇ 청 년 연수: 만 18세~25세 재외동포 청년(26. 7. 14. 기준)

※ 만 18세는 청소년 혹은 청년 연수 中 선택 신청(중복신청 불가)

라. 연수지역

ㅇ 서울 등 수도권(3박) 및 지방(3박)

마. 주요 프로그램

ㅇ 개·폐회식, 한국의 역사·문화/사회·경제 등 체험, 재외동포 한인정체성 함양 프로그램(강의, 체험, 공연), 팀빌딩 및 레크레이션 프로그램 등 ※ 주요 프로그램(안) 참조

나. 신청방법 및 제출서류

※ 보호자 계정이 아닌, 참가자 계정으로 신청(필수)

② (필수) 자기소개서(한글·영어 중 택일)

③ 재외국민 및 외국국적 동포임을 증빙할 수 있는 관련 서류(사본 업로드)

ㅇ (재외국민)재외국민등록부 등본, (외국국적 동포) 제적등본, 기본증명서, 가족관계증명서 등 한인후손 또는 재외동포임을 증명할수 있는 서류 ※ 재외동포 현황 파악 및 정책수립의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있도록 가능한 범위 내에서 협조 바람 (자세한 내용은 첨부파일 참고)
